Description
Jazz Playformance Workshop invites kids aged 8-13 to play musical games about jazz rhythms, melody word-play and story. Musical themes and songs emerge through these interactive games designed to tap into creative thoughts and ideas, then are crafted into songs and sketches through jazz-style improvisation games. The workshop culminates in a performance for family and friends. Students should be prepared to sing and perform, and can bring their own musical instruments if available. Space is limited to 10 students.
Event Cost: Free, registration required.
Event Time: 2-4 p.m. workshop, 8-9:30 p.m. performance.
