Description
The fair will highlight books featuring diverse characters as protagonists and books expressly about racial equity. Lists of these books for kids, teens and adults were created in partnership with the Evanston Public Library. Activity tables, reading stations, craft projects, and resources from local and national organizations fighting for community justice will offer opportunities for attendees to engage with both literature and each other around the vital issue of racial equity. Special guest Tania Richard will engage in a one-hour dialogue with families about how parents and guardians can talk about race and racism with their kids beginning at 10:30.
Event Cost: Free.
