Since the end of the Ice Age, people have taken advantage of DuPage County’s location and natural environment to provide for the needs of their families and communities. Who were the people who called this area home before Illinois existed and what challenges did they face living on the prairie? Gain an understanding about the Native people who lived here from an archaeological perspective and learn more about the descendants who maintain their vibrant cultures to this day.
