Description
Educators at Elgin Public Museum will help Brownie Scouts (and even non-scouts) earn badges through hour-long, hands-on lessons. Registration is required.
Potter (12:30-1:30 p.m.): Learn about the history of ceramics before making your own coil pottery and clay jewelry to take home. (Bring your own smock.) Fulfills steps 1-4.
Home Scientist (2-3 p.m.): Make ice cream, play with static electricity and test the power of chemical reactions. Fulfills steps 1-5.
Bugs (3:30-4:30 p.m.): Get your hands dirty by going on a bug hunt in the garden. Fulfills steps 1-5.
Event Cost: $5 per program.
