FAMILY FUN CALENDAR

All Chicago-area parents with kids between the ages of 18 months and seven years are invited to attend an onsite screening event and use Cognoa’s Child Development app, enabling them to take a clinically validated assessment to determine their child’s risk of developmental delay and autism. Parents will then review the results with an Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST) diagnostician and developmental psychologist to ask questions and determine next steps. A diagnosis is often necessary for children to receive the appropriate behavioral therapies, yet many parents experience waitlists of a year or more before their child can be evaluated. Screening days like this help expedite an earlier diagnosis and treatment, leading to better outcomes for kids.
