FAMILY FUN CALENDAR

Bookie's Chicago is celebrating Children's Book Week with meet-the-author events for kids of all ages. Attendees to each event will earn raffle tickets for chances to win gift cards, signed books and more. 

Event Cost: Free, fees for books. 

Event Times: 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 2 p.m. Saturday & 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Monday: Kathleen Doherty, "Don't Feed The Bear" (ages 3-8)

Tuesday: Sharon Cruikshank, "Come On, Sam," "The Fall," "Little Spider's Journey" (ages 3-8)

Wednesday: Brianna Dumont, "Thrilling Thieves," "Fantastic Fugitives," "Famous Phonies" (ages 8 and up)

Thursday: Marlene Brill, "Picture Girl," "Diary of a Drummer Boy," "Dolores Huerata Stand Strong" (ages 5-12)

Friday: Claire Hartfield, "A Few Red Drops," "Me and Uncle Romie" (ages 10 and up)

Saturday: Songju Daemicke, "Cao Chong Weighs an Elephant," "A Case of Sense" (ages 4-8); Sit Stay Read with dogs (all ages); Bibi Belford, "Another D for Deedee," "Canned and Crushed," "Crossing the Line" (ages 8-12)

Sunday: Sarah Parisi, "Ultimate Kids' Adventure Guide to Chicago" (all ages); Katie McElligot, "Nothing Scary with Harry" (ages up to 3); Dave Scheidt, "Wrapped UP," "Trolls" (ages 6-12).
