Description
Professional speaker and best-selling author, Dr. Pamela Gurley has released the first two books of her 20-book children's series, Brown Girl and Brown Boy. She will read her first two installments, Brown Girl, Be Social, and Brown Boy, Be Social.
Part of the collection includes three special edition books that highlight black and brown children with Down syndrome, autism, and other physical disabilities. Centrally focusing on representational childhood literacy, the goal of the series is to teach kids social skills, confidence, self-worth, and body positivity.
Food trucks and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for event goers.
