With its inspiring story, exquisite music and masterful choreography, The Nutcracker captures the spirit of the holiday season. As the city’s only annual traditional Nutcracker, Ballet Chicago's production follows young Marie on her Christmas Eve journey to the shimmering Kingdom of Snow and the enchanting Land of Sweets, highlighted by George Balanchine’s iconic Sugar Plum Fairy Pas de Deux. A timeless classic, it honors cherished traditions while creating new memories for generations to come. Performances take place Dec. 12–14.
