Description
Celebrate Halloween with the DuPage Symphony Orchestra as they join forces with the Naperville Youth Symphony Orchestra for a family concert for Halloween, complete with costumes, crafts, storytelling, and vivid orchestral music. This year’s theme of Arabian Nights encompasses a wealth of musical selections with a Middle-Eastern flair: from Carl Nielsen’s Aladdin, Modest Mussorgsky’s Khovantchina, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Samson and Dalilah, and, of course, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Arrive early and join the Naperville Public Library staff for crafts in the lobby or explore the instrument petting zoo. Audience members are encouraged to come in costume as well and join in the Halloween spirit.
