Explore drawing, painting, pottery and more fun for all ages.

In the Northwest suburbs, young aspiring artists have a world of possibilities for tapping into their creative side! The Schaumburg area offers plenty of options for kids’ art classes, to let your kid’s inner artist out! Here are some great options.

Aneta Art Classes

Aneta Art Classes after school programs incorporate design, art, craft, STEM and imagination. This enrichment program teaches students to work with patience and a positive attitude while improving their aesthetic skills and challenging their problem-solving abilities. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity and express themselves through various mediums, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art and sewing.

Kids Art & Cafe

If your toddler loves to make a mess at home, channel their energy into creativity with painting classes at Kids Art & Cafe. Here, kids have the opportunity to get messy (drop off or with a caregiver) and have fun in a structured environment with painting led by an experienced professional. Each week, they’ll create their very own masterpiece. The best part? No cleaning necessary!

Roselle Fine Arts Academy

Roselle Fine Arts Academy offers art exploration classes to introduce kids to a variety of mediums, techniques and styles. This includes drawing, painting, printmaking, paper cutting, clay and weaving. In these classes, they’ll learn basic art concepts and techniques. Budding artists who would like to dive deeper into specific art topics can take focused classes. Upcoming monthly topics include watercolors, observational drawing, drawing perspective and acrylics.

Hello Art Studio

In Little Artists Explore (3-6) classes include story time and a related project, featuring a variety of skills and media focusing on family pets. As kids progress to Art Start (7-11, 9-13), they will work on two ongoing projects –— a metallic tree drawing and butterfly painting. Older kiddos (9-13) can also focus on drawing skills, where they’ll learn how to draw realistic dogs, 4-style cartoons and bubble shading.

The Art Room

Susan Weres is a practicing artist and muralist who believes that success in learning frequently depends on finding the right art teacher – someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire and mentor others. That’s why the former K-12 art teacher opened The Art Room, which offers customized private and semi-private lessons. Here, Weres works with highly gifted students who are strong in the visual arts, highly creative and want to further develop their skills.
