A sporting chance

Liberty Mutual will award a total of 20 $2,500 Responsible Sports Community Grants to school athletic programs and youth sports teams that have the most community members complete a Responsible Sports curriculum online.

Youth sports programs teach kids a lot more than how to throw a spiral or shoot a basket."They serve a greater good of teaching valuable life lessons—responsible behavior, sportsmanship and commitment—from their coaches and parents,” says Greg Gordon, Liberty Mutual senior vice president of consumer marketing, in a press release.

Applicants can visit responsiblesports.com before Nov. 30 to register their team or league and find more information.
