- Explore the outdoors. Bundle up and embrace the winter weather with outdoor adventures like sledding, ice skating, or snowshoeing at local parks. The Morton Arboretum, located in DuPage County, is a beautiful spot to explore nature in the colder months. The iconic Children’s Garden is still open during the winter and offers kids up to age 12 a safe place to explore. - Catch a kid friendly flick. Kids will love the chance to see a classic children’s movie in a beautiful old space like the Paramount Theatre, located in Aurora. On April 7, the theater is playing A Goofy Movie as part of its Movie Mondays series.
- Soak up Chicagoland’s world class museums. Older kids may enjoy the new Frida Kahlo exhibit opening on March 29 at the Art Institute of Chicago. For younger children, consider a visit to the DuPage Children’s Museum.
