Seasonal Description - Winter:

Closed for the season.

This advocacy group's vision is to link the more than 50 urban neighborhoods and suburban communities along the 156-mile Chicago River. It offers guided full-day canoe trips starting late April. Canoe and safety equipment included. Shorter, more kid-friendly trips are also available through the park district.

Seasonal Description - Spring:

Trips start after June 1, 2011.

Seasonal Description - Summer:

Friends of the Chicago River offers guided canoe trips of several  sections of the Chicago River. No experience necessary. Our fun,  knowledgeable guides will provide safety and paddling instruction plus  all of the necessary equipment.
