Lifefactory: Glass act

The news is awash with headlines related to chemicals being found in everyday baby staples like diapers, formula, lotions and of course, baby bottles.

Lifefactory, an eco- and developmentally-friendly company, founded by a former pediatric physical therapist and integrative designer, is raging against the toxin machine with green products that look good, but are also good for baby’s health.

A good place to start is their Wee Go glass baby bottles. All are bisphenol A, phthalate, PVC and polycarbonate-free, and are covered with a colorful silicone sleeve to help protect against breakage. The sleeve is 100% non toxic and free of plastics. Both the bottle and sleeve can be boiled or put in the dishwasher together, and better yet, the bottle’s plastic ring, plug and cap contain no polycarbonates, are food grade, FDA approved and recyclable.
