What happens when you pluck an overachieving, nerdy gal from her
three jobs and two-hour daily commute and plop her in the house all
day? You get a restless mama who reads everything, spends
hours trying to perfect her new domestic callings and is willing to
try just about anything with her little guy.
Courtney is originally from Chicago's far south side and after
wandering in the desert of Missouri, Kansas and Michigan, came back
to Chicago in 2003 to pursue a graduate degree in clinical child
psychology at DePaul University. She's lived in Edgewater,
South Shore and Washington Park neighborhoods before settling in
Woodlawn, where she now lives with her computer geek husband,
Tre, and 16-month-old son, Dru.
