Life just got easier. Instead of driving to multiple after-school programs, travel to just one: Family Commons. This unique recreation program gets parents and kids out of the car and into classes at one location. Activities are designed to be inclusive for kids with special needs, their siblings and parents. While their kids are in class, parents are welcome to participate in one of our fitness or arts programs, or use the time to run errands or enjoy some peace and quiet.
Sessions are six weeks long on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and include a range of classes. Offerings vary but can include play groups, yoga, sports clinics, healthy cooking classes and Tae Kwon Do. Each session also includes a free Old Testament studies course for people of all backgrounds and interests.
During the school year, kids over age six can receive one-on-one tutoring and the Commons Fun Room gives kids of all ages personalized staff attention while participating in social growth activities and interacting with peers.
Family Commons is a great option for families looking for affordable, fun, and inclusive recreation!
