Temple Works is an organization with the mission of ending obesity in Chicago. "Nip it in the Bud!" Traveling Preschool Health Awareness and Fitness Program officially starting October 2008. A traveling mini health fair. A "Healthier Family Day," provides: 1. Health screening for diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, obesity and smoking. 2. The play is facilitated to let all participants act out the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle 3. The "5,4,3,2,1 go!" program includes information on: kid-friendly recipes. 4. Demonstration of fun ways to be more active. 5. A healthy snack is provided. The seminar costs $5.00/person Max $10.00 per family (Scholarships may be available.)
