Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Last admission one hour before closing. Closed Monday and holidays.
Admission: $15, $10 students and seniors, $7 kids 4-13, free kids 3 and under. Tuesday is a free day.

The International Museum of Surgical Science is located in a historic mansion on Lake Shore Drive, with 4 floors of exhibits. The Museum has an array of eye catching exhibits including: antique x-ray machines, an iron lung, a prosthetics collection, and much more. Exhibits feature the perfect blending of both science and art. There are multiple opportunities for students on school field trips such as guided tours and demonstrations, including an amputation demonstration which showcases surgery before anesthesia and knowledge of germ theory.
