The Museum features 250 hands-on exhibits, a planetarium, news studio, special area for children under 6, and an award-winning outdoor science park. Indoor galleries include exhibits on the human body, simple machines, color and light, weather, flight, electricity and magnetism and the science of sports. Discovery Center also boasts the nation's first community-built outdoor science park...8,000 square feet of wooden fun including a two-story maze, water play area, and dinosaur fossil dig pit. Kids can see what it's like to be a farmer, a news anchor or an athlete as they explore more than 250 exhibits at this science-themed museum. Mom By CMOM on Friday, September 30, 2011 We visited during spring break. Average time was about 1.5 hours. My oldest got bored quickly (12). Great for the 3-7 year olds. Outside area was not open due to weather. Loced the holes to climb in to get upstairs. Very open and bright. Can't wait for the renovations.
