Hours: The Interpretive Center and grounds are open to the public year-round, 8 am-4:30 pm Mon.-Fri., 9 am-5 pm Sat.-Sun. Kennicott House Tours 11 a.m.-3 p.m. every Sun., Feb.-Oct. 7.

Step into the past at this outdoor history and nature museum. Peek into a tank full of turtles, touch a fossil, learn about pioneer and Native American life. The 135-acre grounds have wetland, woodland and prairie areas. Tour the restored 1856 Kennicott House built by Dr. John Kennicott, the log cabin, longhouse and schoolhouse with costumed guides.
