The theme for this year's event is "Nothing Without a Demand" and includes live performances, dance, films, and art. The celebration begins with the Inauguration of President Barack Obama, for his second term as President of the United States of America. Also includes new Educational Outreach Initiative, "Walking with Heroes" which brings notable African African figures "to life" such as Ida B. Wells, Elijah J. McCoy, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson and Lt. Nyota Uhura from "Star Trek."
