Made famous by President Obama, Hyde Park is home to several museums. Visit the Museum of Science and Industry (5700 S. Lake Shore Drive) or the Smart Museum of Art (5550 S. Greenwood Ave.). The Oriental Institute Museum (1155 E. 58th St.) takes visitors to ancient Egypt and the Near East with artifacts such as a 17-foot-tall statue of King Tut.
