Your kids will GO WILD at Brookfield Zoo Summer Camp! Their days
will be action-packed with animal encounters, fun learning and
team-building activities, arts and crafts, camp songs, silly skits,
fun and creative snacks, games, and-for the grand finale-a really
BIG Puppet Show. Zoo Camp combines the wonderful experiences a zoo
offers with the best activities of a traditional day camp.
Besides having a wildly fun time and making lifelong friends,
campers learn about responsibility, respect and honesty, while
developing good decision-making skills. All that-and our
specialized themes for each week of camp-will leave your camper
begging to come back for more!
Our counselors, known by many campers as simply "the coolest people
on Earth," are highly qualified, well-trained role models. And our
1-to-6 camper-to-counselor ratio means that your child will get the
kind of personal attention that leads to an overall great camp
experience. Our counselors have passed extensive background checks,
and are so dedicated to camp that many choose to return year after
year. Brookfield Zoo Summer Camp is accredited by the American Camp
Association, meeting up to 300 standards for health, safety, and
program quality.

This 216-acre zoo has more than 2,000 animals. Find wolves in their natural habitat, learn about recycling, meet penguins and visit a swamp. If that's not enough, you can always hoot and holler with the monkeys at Tropic World, watch dolphins at the Seven Seas Panorama, observe kangaroos at the Australia House and go on a safari at Habitat Africa. Everyone has a favorite animal and zookeepers talk about theirs (for free) during Zoo Chats. At the Hamill Family Play Zoo, kids can touch domestic animals, look for insects, watch and help zookeepers prepare animal food and more. Visit the Great Bear Wilderness, which features bison, bald eagles, polar bears and grizzly bears. Wild Encounters gives participants an opportunity to experience the day with a zookeeper (for ages 8 and up). Training encounters with dolphins, penguins and more are available; call for reservations. Make sure to take a ride on the zoo's carousel, one of the largest hand-carved wooden carousels in the country. This summer, check out Dinosaurs Alive!, which features huge animatronic dinosaurs and obscure dino species.
