Hours: Air Station Prairie and exterior exhibits are open to the public year-round from sunrise to sunset. The Interpretive Center is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays through April and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays in May.
Experience what much of northern Illinois was like during pre-settlement conditions at this 32-acre example of a tallgrass prairie. Interpretive nature trails allow you to witness the prairie's seasonal changes. The Interpretive Center is a showcase for "green" technology.
