Open year-round and for all ages, this natural limestone cave offers guided tours daily on paved and lighted walkways. Tours pass colorful crystal formations including stalacites, stalagmites and columns. The caves are 50 degrees year-round. While on the grounds, enjoy the Gemstone Mine, butterfly gardens, fossil dig and picnic area. Birthday party packages available.

I took my 3 kids to Cave of the Mounds for a tour in June, and they have been raving about it ever since. The tour was great, plus they have a gem mine and fossil dig activity where the kids get to find and keep their own treasure. That was a super hit. Definitely worth a visit.
