The Rendezvous recreates the history of the area during the fur trade era of voyageurs and local tribes before Chicago became acity. Meet DuSable, along with fur traders, craftsmen, pioneer musicians and entertainers, as they gather along the banks of the Des Plaines River. Includes craft demonstrations, a children’s trading post, live animals, storytelling, Native American and French games, a skillet toss, a fashion show, tomahawk throwing, archery and more. Enjoy frontier food like fry bread, kettle corn and root beer.
