Throughout the month of March, we will open our farm on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. to hold the newborn baby lambs, baby chicks and see the sheep being sheared (at 10 and 1). Farm admission of $4 each or families for $10 max. can give you a feel for the farm. Along with the lambs, we have chickens hatching, goats and a rabbit. Don't forget to bring your camera! Enjoy Pioneer Farm is located at 17N 400 Big Timber Rd., Hampshire, IL. We're 1 mile south of I90 and 1 mile west of Route 47. This working farm is located just 1 hour from downtown Chicago. Features include baby animals to hold and touch on Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in March, April, May. A farm market opens with perennials, flower baskets and veggies in season. 100 foot strawberry greenhouse and a subscription U-Pick Farm Garden are available.
