Yule Log Hunt

The log is sawed over a roaring fire, and half is saved as kindling for the next year's hunt and fire.
When the log is found, the finders drag it back to the main area, and some youngsters hitch a ride.
And as people sing carols, they toast the finding of the Yule Log with "wassail," a hot, spicy ale.

Follow clues around the Arboretum to find the yule log. Then enjoy a log-sawing celebration, bonfire, caroling, and wassail. Little ones can join the pint-sized "Yule Twig Hunt," a drop-in, self-guided activity. Dress for hiking and cold weather.
