The Chicago Botanic Garden is a 385-acre living plant museum featuring 26 display gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on nine islands surrounded by lakes. Visit the Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Plant Conservation Science Center with interactive exhibits and the Green Roof Garden. It has events, programs and activities for all ages. The Model Railroad Garden is open May 7-Oct. 30. Butterflies & Blooms is open May 28-Sept. 5. Visit website for exhibition hours and ticket information.
