31-mile crushed stone trail that follows its namesake river.
Snowmobiling is allowed on designated sections only. The trail
passes through 10 forest preserves, and bridges and underpasses
make it possible to travel much of the trail without crossing major
roads. The trail is open year-round, from 6:30 a.m. to sunset. For
