Parent Coop for Early Learning
Chicago, Ill. 60615
The Parent Cooperative for Early Learning is a not-for-profit preschool run by a board of directors consisting of parents, teachers and an administrator. The first priority for PCEL is to create an environment where our children will thrive, prepare for elementary school, and enjoy school in a safe and nurturing environment. Organized in 1972, the school has grown in the intervening years; since 1977, PCEL has operated three classrooms for as many as fifty-six children a year (ages two to five), usually with three teachers in each classroom.
