Camp Lee Mar is a private residential special needs camp for children and teenagers with mild to moderate learning and developmental challenges. A structured environment, individual attention and guidance are emphasized at all times. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities PLUS academics, speech and language therapy, music and art therapy, daily living skills, sensory-motor-perceptual training, and computers. We also have therapeutic horseback riding, a Zip Line and overnight trips. In the past we have had two and three day trips to Canada, Williamsburg, VA, Mystic, CT., and Hershey Park/Amish Country to name a few. Our beautiful camp includes a Junior Olympic heated pool, modern facilities and air-conditioned buildings (including cabins).

Since our start in 1953, Camp Lee Mar has been much more than a summer camp; it is a life-changing experience that instills confidence in all our campers. We follow each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) with the objective of keeping the camper "on track" so that they pickup where they left off when they return to school in the fall.

Not a week goes by at Camp Lee Mar without a special event, such as Hawaiian Night, 4th of July Celebration, Carnival Day, Western Night and much more! We also have an end of summer Prom (Senior Fling) held off camp for our teenage campers in which the ladies wear dresses and the guys wear sports jackets and ties. It is one of the favorite events of the summer! The senior division prepares for the Prom with Social Dance every Friday night.

Our wonderful nurturing staff members are interviewed directly by our director and assistant director. Our staff arrive a week before the campers and have workshops throughout orientation week to prepare them for our campers arrival.

We have a terrific nursing staff that live on camp and administer campers' medications. Our talented chef makes all the meals both nutritional and delicious.

We are located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Our campers come from all over the United States, as well as a couple from overseas. We pick up at Stewart Airport in Newburg, NY, and we also have a bus pickup in New York City. Campers also have the option of being driven directly to camp.
