Camp Agawak for Girls
Mary Fried, Owner & Director for 23 years
Agawak's friendly atmosphere, caring staff, rich traditions, creative programming and stunning waterfront are our standouts. Agawak is more than a place where girls from across the country go to water-ski, swim, sail, play sports and compete in color wars. It's a haven for personal growth, an oasis for self-discovery and friendships. Agawak's goal is to provide a safe, fun and nurturing camp environment in which campers acquire lifelong skills, a strong sense of self and are enriched through their camp experience. Our traditions, dating back to 1921, foster a sense of pride and connectedness in our campers. Agawak meets the unique needs of each camper and assures their happiness, personal security and development during their time with us.
Agawak's outstanding staff genuinely cares about making meaningful connections and fostering friendships among our campers. Our staff is chosen for their warmth, experience and interest in children. The quality of our instruction and impeccable facilities are evident. Endless hours go into developing unique and creative programming. The spirit and energy our programming generates are unparalleled and exceptional. Campers are given the choice of over 45 quality instructed activities from which to choose from.
Children more than ever need a place to belong, to feel like they are special, to discover who they truly are and to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Campers never forget their positive Agawak experience and the friendships formed remain with them for a lifetime. However, no publication and website can do justice to the essence of Agawak. We cannot be summed up by words and pictures. At best, we hope to suggest only a portion of the energy that exists on the shores of Blue Lake - Camp Agawak. Please take our virtual tour!
