The shadow of skyscrapers isn't where you'd expect to spot a Red-tailed Hawk, but thanks to Lurie Garden's "Raptors in the Garden" program, you can see these and other great birds of prey up close and personal. Volunteers from the Northern Illinois Raptor Center bring their favorite avian friends and families can meet and take pictures with them. If your kids tend to drive you nuts with endless questions, turn them loose on the knowledgeable volunteers and their true bird brains. Bonus tip: Come early for a family stroll and to dip your feet in the garden's water feature.
