Queen of Peace High School Celebrating Founder's Day and 50 years educating young women
In 2012, Queen of Peace High School celebrates a 50-year tradition of educating and empowering young women. As an all-girl Catholic college prep high school sponsored by the Dominicans of Sinsinawa, Queen of Peace provides a nurturing learning environment steeped in Dominican values coupled with a personalized approach to teaching and innovative learning. The aim is to help diverse young women develop the necessary skills to excel in an increasingly global and competitive world.
"After 50 years, a lot may have changed in the world, but at Queen of Peace we continue to be inspired by the values established by the Dominicans of Sinsinawa: truth, justice, compassion, partnership and community," said Anne O'Malley, a 1975 graduate and current President of Queen of Peace. "These core values are what differentiates us and makes Peace such a special place."
Queen of Peace integrates strong academics with a holistic approach to learning in small classes designed for personal attention. Cutting-edge learning opportunities include the 1:1 laptop program, expanded AP course offerings, and real-world prep classes such as computer repair, pre-engineering, digital photography, and business entrepreneurship.
