A new opportunity for youngsters in Chicago to get an early start on a world-class education becomes available next September when internationally acclaimed GEMS Education opens Little GEMS International in Lincoln Park. Little GEMS International is a school for young children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and is the first GEMS Education school to open in the United States.  GEMS Education is the world's foremost provider of private education, with over 50 years of education experience in more than 9 countries. A preK-12th grade school is planned for Chicago in 2013.

The Little GEMS International approach is firmly based on published scientific research into child development and early year's education. This method blends the English Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum with unique, specially written Little GEMS International programs designed to enhance learning and to enable children to flourish academically, personally, socially and emotionally.

Through Little Gems' unique focus on global citizenship your child will develop a wider awareness of the world and their place in it. While learning in English, children are exposed to a variety of world languages from an early age, developing the foundation to become multilingual. They also learn about the cultures and customs of the people who speak those languages and the universal values that are accepted and admired in all cultures around the world

Our state-of-the-art facility is 2 blocks from Lincoln Park.The learning environments have been carefully planned and beautifully designed for every stage of your child's development and capacity for learning. Whether in the gym, on stage or taking a stroll in an indoor park, activities will enhance the special skills needed for literacy, numeracy and acquainting our children with different world languages and cultures
