Overview & Mission
Christ the King Jesuit College Prep
is a Catholic, Jesuit, independent, coeducational, college
preparatory school.
Sponsored by the Chicago Province Jesuits, Christ the King offers
students a strong academic and spiritual foundation integrated with
a Corporate Work Study Program in a safe, disciplined, faith-based
and caring environment. Christ the King is a member of the Cristo
Rey Network®: a national association of high schools that provide a
rigorous, Catholic, college preparatory education. 100% of our
first graduating class (2012) received college acceptance.
The school's program follows a centuries-old Jesuit tradition of
academic excellence and leadership development designed to foster
each student's intellectual and spiritual growth built on a
deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. Christ the King
seeks to inspire and prepare its students to become creative
leaders; "men and women for others" who are committed to work for
justice in the Church, in the civic community, and in their chosen
profession.
The Corporate Work Study Program
The Corporate Work Study Program
contracts with businesses in Chicago and surrounding areas in order
to provide students with the opportunity to earn over half of their
tuition costs. Students work one full day a week, in clerical and
entry level positions at businesses ranging from hospitals and
banks to law firms and insurance companies.
