Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School is a fully accredited, independent, community Jewish day school with 526 students in nursery through eighth grade. BZAEDS combines the best of Jewish learning and traditions and the best of innovative educational practices in a rigorous and nurturing learning environment. Dedicated educators partner with Jewish families to fulfill the goal of raising children to be their best selves and good citizens of their communities. BZAEDS families represent a microcosm of Chicago's diverse Jewish community, and span the spectrum of Jewish practice and belief. The school features a multidisciplinary, layered curriculum of general studies and Jewish studies that builds on each previous year's learning, and an innovative approach that cultivates confidence, creativity, leadership and empathy. A 35,000 sq.-ft. athletic field is used by both classes and teams, and after-school activities support various interests, including chess, band, science, art and more. BZAEDS graduates possess a strong foundation, an intrinsic curiosity for continued learning and are exceedingly well-prepared for high school and life beyond. They are confident critical thinkers and problem solvers who work well in teams and are at ease making presentations and leading discussions.
