When it comes to Halloween and trick-or-treating, Chicago shows kids a scary good time. While the weather can sometimes be iffy - what kid likes covering up the cool costume with a coat - Chicago ranks #6 in the nation, according to Zillow, a real estate website, in its fourth annual Trick-or-Treat Index. It slipped one spot from last year, trading places with San Jose, Calif.
But for the very best time, the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood is the place to be Oct. 31, Zillow announced this morning. It beats out Wrightwood Neighbors, Edgebrook, North Center and even super family-friendly Lincoln Park as the tops of the top five neighborhoods for trick-or-treating. The Gold Coast slipped from this year's list.
The national index represents cities that will provide the most candy, with the least walking and safety risk.
