New babies at Lincoln Park Zoo

Animal keepers are tickled pink about the new babies at Lincoln Park Zoo's Farm-in-the-Zoo. The litter of pink and black Berkshire piglets greeted keepers Wednesday when they arrived for work.
Mom, Lady, a 200-pound temporary Chicago resident, is doing great. The babies are on exhibit daily in the Livestock Barn until early August.
"The goal of the Farm-in-the-Zoo is to introduce city kids to a traditional farm, and piglets are an especially cute way to do that," General Curator Dave Bernier says in a news release. "Lincoln Park Zoo loves to provide a comfy home and excellent veterinary care to these mothers and their newborns."
Experts say the tiny piglets, weighing about two pounds each, will gain a pound a day. Imagine your grocery bill if these were your kids.
