One Chicago car detailing shop is looking for Chicagoland's dirtiest car. At stake (besides the title, which is almost worth it by itself) is an Extreme Car Makeover that Jim Lafeber, founder of Simon's Shine Shop in Bucktown, promises will make the car look like new.
There's no way a parent can't win this thing, hands down. Cracker crumbs, juice stains, spilled mocha, poop, Kleenex and that sippie cup graveyard down under the passenger seat: It's basically a shoo-in.
So step up, Chicago parents. If we let this go to a surly teenager with a fast-food-filled, mud-caked pickup truck, we'll never forgive ourselves.
Enter here through Feb. 25 and you could win:
First place: $1000 Prize Package
The 1st-place winner will receive a complete detail service at Simon's Shine Shop and Dr. Beasley's First Aid Kit and Dr. Beasley's Formula 1201 Paint Sealant to use at home.
Second place: $300 Prize Package
