CHICAGO CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

Seven years after it first opened, "Play it Safe," the Chicago Children's Museum's fire safety exhibit, has reopened -- this time with a renewed focus on interactive learning as well as a bevy of hands-on tools and real firefighter uniforms.

Kids can crawl on their bellies in a "smoke"-filled room, climb up in the basket of a to-scale fire truck, and simulate putting out a fire with an authentic Chicago Fire Department hose.
