My family has gone green by finding ways to reuse clothing the kids have outgrown or worn out and my husband and I no longer wear or need. Wool sweaters can be felted in the washing machine. The felt is great for sewing toys like felt food or doll dresses. Corduroy pants with ripped or worn knees can be cut and sewn into bean bags for the backyard bag toss game. Those favorite, but outgrown, cartoon character T-shirts can be made into fun throw pillows for the kids' beds.
