If the honking of your kid's clarinet is driving you mad (don't worry, we won't tell), head up to Evanston to hear how woodwinds are really done at this kids' fare concert. At "Really Resonating Reeds," members of Northwestern's saxophone ensemble and clarinet studio showcase examples of their single-reed instruments, whether big, small, high or low. You won't even need those earplugs you've tucked away. $6, $4 kids. 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18. Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, 50 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston. (847) 467-4000, pickstaiger.org.
