'Tis the season to celebrate. And here are two ways to learn how people from other countries celebrate.
As you begin your family's holiday traditions, head to Kidsworks Touring Theatre to take some time to learn about customary celebrations around the world. Spin the dreidel, act out the first Christmas tree story, beat the drum in a Kwanzaa ceremony, parade under the Chinese Dragon and sing Feliz Navidad at the Poplar Creek Public Library.
Then head to the Museum of Science and Industry to see more than 50 dazzling trees decorated to represent various cultures and their holiday traditions. With everywhere from Poland to Puerto Rico represented, you're sure to spy your own ethnic heritage. 2011 marks 60 years of the museum's famous holiday commemoration, so keep an eye out for extra festive surprises.
