5 Mother's Day brunches in Chicago

Brunch is the classic way to spend the perfect Mother's Day morning, but with so many gorgeous brunch buffet spreads in Chicago, it's hard to choose the one that the woman in your life will love. We tried all the fancy downtown Sunday brunch buffets (yes, our life is so stressful) so you can pinpoint the perfect Mother's Day treat.

Price: Normally $70 adults, $25 kids 8 and under. Price for Mother's Day $125 adults, $35 kids under 8.
Mother will love it: Upscale, luxurious food just like Trump would eat: dine on fancy cheeses, prime rib with horseradish, made-to-order omelets, sushi and fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Atmosphere: Similar to a five-star European restaurant. Very sleek, modern and calming.
Kid-friendly assessment: Within five minutes of our arrival, everyone knew our 2-year-old's name, and they presented her with a coloring book, crayons and a stuffed Trump Kids dog. There was a kids' buffet table offering mini-burgers, mini-pizzas and chicken fingers.
We were disappointed: The pancakes and waffles were sitting under a warming lamp, so they didn't taste fresh.
Value: Brunch comes with a mimosa or sparkling wine. Feast on the prosciutto and other meats and cheeses to get your money's worth.
Mother's Day highlights: Ham and prime rib carving, Ahi tuna salad nicoise. Every mom will also receive a complimentary make-up application by Chanel Beaute and will walk away with a flower bouquet.
