Get out there and play
One of the highlights of the night begins at 8 p.m., when the Chicago Fire Department’s Air/Sea Rescue Re-enactment takes place at Queen’s Landing, located at Congress and the Lakefront in Grant Park. The boat parade, where more than two dozen boats decorated with lights and props sail across the lake, begins at 8:15 p.m. The event also features a fireworks display and a Guinness Book of World Records highest jump attempt by motocross superstar Ronnie Renner at Butler Field, 100 S. Lake Shore Drive, at 6 p.m.

The event also includes a free kids’ carnival featuring inflatables, a petting zoo, pony rides and entertainment from noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Have some competitive fun with cornhole tournaments, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday. And chow down at the Jimmy John's Sandwich Eating Competition at 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
The Taste of Lincoln Avenue is located between Fullerton and Wrightwood in Chicago's DePaul/Lincoln Park neighborhood. The event is held from noon-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Outside fun
