Star show opens at Adler Planetarium

Families who like visiting faraway galaxies should check out Adler Planetarium’s new show "Cosmic Collisions." Narrated by actor Robert Redford, "Cosmic Collisions" features stunning images from space and the explosive encounters that shaped our solar system.

The show, best for families with kids 8 and older, is one of the planetarium’s 3-D adventures that lets viewers immerse themselves in the intergalactic trip. "Cosmic Collisions" is shown daily at 10:45 a.m., 12:15, 1:45 and 4 p.m. The Galaxy Package includes the "Cosmic Collisions" show, general admission and an audio tour. Prices are $19, $17 adult Chicago resident, $15 kids, $14 kids Chicago resident, $15 seniors and free for kids 3 and under.
