Warm up after a fun skating party with hearty chili and hot chocolate served on a festive holiday table adorned with handmade winter decorations you and your kids can make together. This craft takes about two hours because of the drying time necessary between steps.
Whitewash the inside of the wood tray with water and winter white paint and let dry. Paint the outside of the tray dark hydrangea and let it dry.
Load the vine stamp with winter white paint and stamp around outside of tray as shown in photo. Let dry.
Paint dark hydrangea dots around both pots with a 3/4 inch spounder brush or the end of a paintbrush. Put batting in pots.
Paint trees with silver sterling paint. When they’re dry, dry brush with a medium stencil brush in winter white. Brush gems platinum onto trees.
Put trees in pots on tray. Decorate with greenery and plastic snowflake.
Tip: Instead of the pine greenery, try filling the tray with brightly wrapped candy to add color to your table and provide a tasty treat for the kids.
