Kids can literally be a fly on the wall as they head to outer space with three tween-age fly stowaways on the Apollo 11. The Adler Planetarium is showing the animated flick "Fly Me to the Moon," which features houseflies that head to outer space with crew members Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.
The 3D space show is rated G and only 17 minutes long, so even young children can last through the movie. Like most shows at Adler, the special effects make viewers feel like they’re part of the action during this space adventure.
"Fly Me to the Moon" is recommended for families with kids ages 3-8. Admission is $7, plus general museum admission of $10, $8 for seniors and $6 kids 4-17. Discounts are available for Chicago residents.
